About this experience
Every November, the Himalayan cherry trees around Shillong come into bloom and turn the hills pink. The city — long called the rock capital of India — celebrates with the Cherry Blossom Festival: concerts, food, local craft and a weekend when everyone seems to be outdoors.
We build the trip around the festival days and add the Meghalaya everyone should see once: the gorges and waterfalls of Sohra, a living root bridge, the clear water at Dawki, and a village stay in the Khasi hills.
