About this experience

The road from Joshimath to Niti is one of the most dramatic in Garhwal. It follows the Dhauliganga through narrow gorges, past Tapovan and Malari, and out into a high, dry valley that looks more like Ladakh than the green hills below.

Our 4x4 expedition takes the road slowly, with stops in the Bhotia villages, a walk to the ice cave of Timmersain Mahadev, and nights in local homestays. It can be combined with Badrinath and Mana for a longer Garhwal journey.
